Therapy& support
Online and in-person therapy for anxiety, trauma, eating difficulties and more — plus gentle resources to carry between sessions.
Individual therapy for adults
Taking the step to reach out is often the hardest part. Whether you've been struggling for a long time or something has recently shifted, I have faith that together we can find a way forward at a pace that works for you.
My work is rooted in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), one of the most well-researched and effective approaches in clinical psychology. I've trained intensively in specialist CBT for eating disorders with Glenn Waller, and in Family-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa with Kerri Boutelle at the James Lock Training Institute. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma, and I am currently undertaking further training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) to broaden how I can support relational and long-standing patterns of difficulty. Rather than following a rigid script, I see you as the expert on your own life, my role is to bring knowledge and ideas, and together we figure out what fits for you.

What to expect in our sessions
Getting to know each other
We start by making space for your story. What are you struggling with, and what would you most like to change? There's no rush and no wrong answers.
Exploring possibilities together
I'll share some ideas about how we might work toward your goals, and together we figure out whether those ideas feel right for you. We might explore pros and cons of options so that you can make informed choices about what you want. You are always in the driving seat.
Making space for what comes up
Throughout our work, we hold room for your thoughts and feelings, including the difficult ones. Trust can build gradually, and we grow it together through commitment to your recovery.
Checking in along the way
We review regularly. Where are we? What's working? Where do we want to go next? This keeps our work meaningful and responsive to you.
"What I valued most about this therapeutic relationship was Marie-Claire's high level of professionalism, preparation, and genuine commitment to my healing. She never seemed to run out of ideas on how to support me, whether through new exercises, carefully chosen readings tailored to my specific challenges, or by confidently guiding me to the next step of the healing process. Every session felt like a safe space where I was truly heard, understood, and respected. I would wholeheartedly recommend Marie-Claire's services to anyone seeking professional, thoughtful, and genuinely caring psychological support." — Person with IBS, generalised anxiety and ADHD · 5 months of therapy

Living with Eating Disorders
The Maudsley Model
A skills group for people supporting a loved one with an eating disorder, based on the cognitive-interpersonal model developed by Professors Schmidt and Treasure. The focus is on emotional communication skills, the kind that reduce carer distress and burden, and are associated with better outcomes for the person they are caring for.
- Format: 10 sessions, 1.5 hours each, via video call (8 weekly, then two follow-up sessions spaced out for practice)
- Facilitator: Dr Marie-Claire Reville
- Before you start: a short screening conversation to check the group is the right fit
Living with ADHD
A parent & carer group
A group for parents and carers navigating an ADHD diagnosis, covering how ADHD brains develop and pay attention, what assessment and diagnosis involves, and practical communication and behaviour-support skills (including the OARS model: open questions, affirmations, reflections, summaries) for the moments that are hardest at home.
- Format: 5 sessions, covering psychoeducation, communication skills, and behaviour support
- Style: practical and collaborative, a sharing circle, discussion, and space for the questions that come up between sessions
- Facilitator: Dr Marie-Claire Reville
- Before you start: a short screening conversation to check the group is the right fit
Living with Hot Flushes & Night Sweats
A CBT-based group for managing hot flushes & night sweats
A cognitive behavioural group for women experiencing hot flushes and night sweats during the menopause transition, based on the self-help approach set out in Myra Hunter's Managing Hot Flushes and Night Sweats: A Cognitive Behavioural Self-help Guide to the Menopause. The focus is on the psychological and lifestyle factors such as stress, triggers, thoughts and reactions in the moment, which influence how flushes and sweats are experienced, alongside clear education about what's happening physically.
- Approach: evidence-based CBT for menopausal symptoms, following Hunter's published guide
- Format: small group, details confirmed at enquiry
- Facilitator: Dr Marie-Claire Reville
- Before you start: a short screening conversation to check the group is the right fit
